Notebooks are due at the end of the class on Thursday. I will be grading only the Launch Structure section. Make sure you have everything needed for each design - before and after testing.
On Thursday, you will be presenting your launch structure. Include the evolution of your design, how you documented it, why and how you modified. Images of your structure are necessary in the PowerPoint. You will also need to discuss the tension and compression of the members of the structure. The entire presentation should be 5-10 minutes long.

You will be taking a two-day test at the end of this week. The first day of the test will be four essay questions that can be about anything we have studied this year - fields of engineering, university programs, engineering feats in history, the design process, and sketching. The second day of the test will be several sketching exercises. Make sure you know how to sketch in one- and two-point perspective, orthographic projection, and isometric projection. Please bring pencils (colored pencils work well), a ruler, and a good eraser.
They should include all homework and sketches, a table of contents, and be clearly labeled and neat.
You will need this for isometric sketching.
This article about engineering as a career gives you some points to think about when choosing a focus in college.
